It’s a race against time to collect the precious flowers. In Guìlín in Guangxi province, the osmanthus grows mainly along the river Li and the forest of rocks (limestone mountain peaks).
It is from this tree that the region got its name: in Chinese “Guìlín” means “the forest of osmanthus”.
