Madagascar Vanilla essential oil
The black pearls of the Indian Ocean.
Brought over from Mexico several centuries ago, vanilla has never ceased to fill the hearts of the epicureans among us.
Vanilla flowers are pollinated by hand in Madagascar. The pods are a premium product with an incomparable aroma, warm and gourmand at once, with facets of leather and cognac.
Origins and culture
Vanilla beans are the fruit of a green orchid, either Planifolia Andrews or Tahitensis.
Vanilla plants require a hot, humid climate, as well as something to hang from.
For the Compoz collection of natural essences, we selected an Orpur quality of essential oil from the island of Madagascar, produced as part of a support programme for local communities.
